Cornwall has so much to offer and makes for a fantastic place for scenic motorcycle rides. Offering many areas of 'outstanding natural beauty', Cornwall has many winding roads with scenic backdrops people dream of. We have handpicked some of our favourite routes down here in the Southwest.
TOP 5 SCENIC MOTORBIKE ROUTES IN CORNWALL
The Lizard
One of our favourite and top of our list, is St. Ives to Lands End. Steeped in mining heritage this route provides breathtaking views out to the Atlantic. Whilst we start in St. Ives, fear not, you won’t be amongst the tourist crowds long!
Head south west out of the town on the B3306 and cruise; you’ll go through Zennor, Pendeen and St Just all whilst hugging the stunning Cornish coastline with panoramic scenes and fresh sea air for miles.

You’ll end up at Land’s End, where you can take a moment getting lost in the views across the vast Atlantic before grabbing a few snaps to make your friends jealous while they queue for expensive fudge on their holiday.
The Roseland Peninsula
The Roseland Peninsula, typically known for its popular destination of St. Mawes, is often an undiscovered gem. Lucky for you, we will let you in to the secret. Quieter roads, this area of Cornwall provides winding single roads leading to the more rugged coastline and remote treasures such as Pendower, Carne, Veryan and Portloe. Be sure to pop in to Sam's on The Roseland for a pit stop. Serving up great burgers this is a great place to stop. Situated on Chenoweths Business Park, there are several other small businesses to peruse. If you're after something a little more sophisticated, we highly recommend the Hidden Hut!..be sure to book though! On your way back, why not get the King Harry Ferry, this serves as a great photo opportunity and experience altogether!
Newquay to Padstow
Don't be fooled by the stag/hen reputation, Newquay is a stunning coastline and offers some great views along with some fantastic eateries and small businesses, ours included of course! Home to our HQ, a short stones throw from the centre of Newquay town, we are the perfect place to start your journey. Grab a coffee, familiarise yourself with the route and chat bike. After a coffee to kick start you, you'll make your way towards Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth. As you meander down the hill to Watergate you will have breathtaking sea views to your left. Make your way towards Padstow via the Seven Bays of Porthcothan, Constantine, Treyarnon, Booby’s Bay, Mother Ivey’s, Harlyn and Trevone.
Tintagel to Bude
Supposed birth place of King Arthur, begin in Tintagel. You will head to Bude on an incredible scenic route, make sure you have your camera! High up on the cliff tops you will have far reaching views out to the Atlantic Ocean. Take a detour and explore the museum of Witchcraft and Magic along the way. Once you reach Bude, head to The Lock Gate Cafe. This is the mecca for bikers and serves as a biker night on Wednesday's.
St Austell - Mount Edgcumbe
Time it right and this journey could act as the perfect all-weekend adventure. Mount Edgcumbe hosts The Armchair Adventure Festival in July/August each year. Leaving St Austell, you will make your way towards the quaint coastal town of Fowey, there you will catch the Fowey Ferry over to Bodinnick. Situated up a steep hill is the Old Ferry Inn, if you're feeling thirsty, stop for a drink and a bite to eat in this traditional Cornish pub. Head along the Polperro coast towards Looe. Exiting Looe, you will head to No Man's Land. Drop back toward the stunning coast to Seaton, Downderry and Whitsand Bay and make your way out towards Rame Head and Mount Edgcumbe House and Country Park. From here you will have views over to the naval base and Royal William Yard in Plymouth.
